Sound modules can be thought of being the 'guts' of a synthesizer, digital piano or organ without the keyboard being attached. This means that the module can be controlled by an external device, such as a sequencer. These modules are space saving and often more affordable than if they came with the keyboard attached.

I am having difficulty choosing a good sound module for brass, I am not up on programing,so I need something with good stock sounds or one that can be easily tweaked. I have tried xv5050, proteus, xv2020 in
local music store, but couldn't get much help from sales people. I currently use a kurzweil k2vx and a Hammond xk2. The band I work with does mainly funk, motown, tower of power type music. Any comments on
motif rack, or should i spend more and get something like the xv5080.
Any help woulb be greatly appreciated.
thanks
